Standards

An overview of standards.

Standards represent the amount of time it takes to complete work-related tasks. Tasks can be grouped into labor standards groups for ease of reference within the model. Standards can either be imported or created within the application.

The Standards section includes the following pages:

Setup— From the Setup, page you can create and edit standards attributes groups and standard attributes.

Manage— From the Manage page, you can view standard attributes groups and edit standard attribute values.

Standards groups and standards

Before you can create tasks, you must create standard groups to which you add the tasks. A typical standard group might be named Variable Tasks and have the following tasks assigned to it:

  • Checkout Minutes

  • Bakery Minutes

  • Deli Minutes

Setup

Use the Setup page to configure standards and standard attribute groups.

  • Save.

    Enter values for the standard attributes

    1. If you configured an attribute SMV in the previous steps, click in the appropriate task row to add column attributes.

    2. From Column Attribute, select the appropriate attribute and click Save.

Add a standards attribute group

Steps for creating, editing and deleting a standards attribute group.

Setup > Add

  1. Click Add.
  2. In Standards Attribute Group Form, enter a name.
  3. Click Save.

Edit or delete standard attribute groups

Steps for editing or deleting standard attribute groups.

Choose the appropriate option to edit or delete a group.
  • To edit an existing group, click in the appropriate row. Edit the name and click Save.

  • To delete an existing group, click in the appropriate row and click Confirm.

Add standard attributes

Steps creating standard attributes.

Setup > Add Standard Attribute

Use the Add Standard Attribute page to create a standard and define its attributes.

  1. Click Add Standard Attribute.
  2. Enter a name.
  3. From Task Type, select the appropriate Standard Minute Value (SMV).
    OptionDescription
    Linear SMVsA single fixed value to be used by all sites. For example, a company may determine the standard time to scan a small item is three seconds.
    Attribute SMVsCan be matrixed by a list type site attribute. For example, some stores may have hand scanners only creating a longer time to scan so a matrix could be employed to define a different standard based on that store characteristic.
  4. Select a period.
  5. Enter the external attribute ID, if applicable.
  6. Click Save.

Manage

An overview of the standards Manage page.

Use the Manage page to view each Standard Group that is available, and the number of attributes within the group and their Properties. You can also edit the attribute values for each standard.​​ The Manage page of Standards allows you to use the following filters to refine the list of standards:

  • Group: Defaults to "All" and allows users to filter the list based on specific groups. Note that If none of the filters are used on the Standards page, the system displays all location attribute values.

  • Attribute: Dynamically dependent on the selected Group filter. After a group is selected, only the relevant attributes for that group will be available in the Attribute filter.

  • As of Date filter: Defaults to the current date. You can select a specific date from the date picker to view live values for that date. If the date filter is removed, the page will display all live values across all dates.

Add a value to a standard attribute

Steps for adding a value to a standard attribute.

Manage > Add Value

  1. Select Add Value.
  2. In the Attribute Value Form, select a group, attribute and effective date.
  3. Select Save. The new value appears in the table.

Edit a value for a standard attribute

Steps for editing standard attribute values.

To edit a value, perform these steps:

  1. Click in the Value field of the appropriate standard attribute.
  2. Replace the existing value with appropriate new value.
  3. Click in an area outside of the Value field. The new value is saved to the attribute.

Delete a standard attribute

Steps for deleting a standard attribute.

Manage >

  1. In the row of the appropriate standard attribute, click .
  2. In the prompt, click Confirm.

Import standard attribute groups files

Steps for importing standard attribute groups.

Setup > Import

Use the Import page to import your files with parameters for standard attributes groups.

  1. Click.
  2. An Upload File page appears. Do one of the following:

    Drag and drop the appropriate file.The dropped file file appears in the Upload File box.
    Browse to the appropriate file and select the appropriate file from your system.The selected file appears in the Upload File box.
  3. Click Save.

Export standard attribute groups files

Steps for exporting files with standard attribute groups data.

Setup > Export

Use the Export page to export files with standard attribute groups data.

  1. Click Export.
  2. Go the Notifications page to view and download the newly exported file.
